Common problems associated with original timber sash windows like: rot, draughts, rattling and being painted shut, would not let this lovely couple fully enjoy their traditional windows.
 
It was very important for the house owners to preserve the original features, as well as ensure the windows were fully operative, draught free and last them for many years ahead.
 
The renovation process began with removing and replacing any rot from the frames of seven sash windows. The sashes were re-weighed and adjusted, to ensure smooth operation. The professional draught proofing system was then installed to eliminate draughts, as well as to prevent heat loss, rattles, and external noise.
 
The job was finished by replacing mastic pointing around all windows and carrying out final painting.
 
New period sash bars at the front windows make the front room even more attractive.
